This training is designed for anyone wanting to bring fresh eyes and best practise to community life. If you have ever experienced community breakdown, felt unsafe or ignored in meetings, or are uncertain about community living, then this course is for you.

Communities need good communication and decision making, effective project management, and a sense of belonging. The Sociocratic Circle Method is a whole system of governance which supports you in being heard, which holds you in clear processes, and which empowers you to contribute and take responsibility. Together you grow in trust and create community glue.

Why learn and implement the Sociocratic Circle Method? To build trust and connection so you thrive and flourish living in community!

TOOLS TO SUPPORT – listening, aligning on purpose, running effective meetings, presenting proposals, coordinating work, &  making decisions… EVEN when you don’t agree!

A practical and power-filled way to realise your community dream !

The dates and session times are as follows:

  • Saturday 20 March: 8:30am to 5pm
  • Sunday 21 March: 8:30 to 5pm

“I now feel empowered by the group. Our Co-operative members meetings have shifted from being run by one board member to having a team contributing and taking on responsibility for the meeting. Sociocracy works and the community is becoming strong!”

Hope V. Horton, Hart’s Mill Ecovillage, Efland, North Carolina, USA –
“Sociocracy allows us to get things done while engaging and involving everyone in a positive way. People come to meetings more prepared and more informed, which saves a lot of time.”

Cynthia Kennedy, Founding Member, Dance Floor International, UK – “Sociocracy has allowed us to have open-hearted conversations about emotionally-laden topics and develop policies we were not able to handle before. One visitor, new to sociocracy, was in awe of the trust and open communication in our meeting.”
