Join us to celebrate International Co-op Day and all that we love about housing co-ops!

The celebrations include a shared meal followed by a screening of a documentary about a Canadian housing co-op.

Plus there will the time and space to catch up with friends and neighbours.

About the movie – Directed by Eve Lamont, the film is about her mother Rachel and her 40 neighbours who are part of a heterogeneous community and try to live in cooperation despite the challenges of collective management. All these people form an intercultural and intergenerational melting pot, a micro-society that calls for better living together.

About International Day of Cooperatives (#CoopsDay) – International Co-operative Day is an annual celebration of the co-operative movement observed on the first Saturday in July since 1923 by the International Co-operative Alliance (ICA). Each year, International Day of Co-operatives has a different theme.  A decade on from the UN International Year of Cooperatives, which showcased the unique contribution of cooperatives to making the world a better place, this year’s #CoopsDay slogan –“Cooperatives Build a Better World”– echoes the theme of the International Year. For more information about international co-op day, visit https://www.coopsday.coop/
