The community consists of 15 homes, the majority is constructed with mud bricks. The first six home were built in the early 90s.
Co-operation Housing is excited to welcome Mia Mia (back) to the co-op housing sector. As one of the residents said "it feels a bit like coming home". Under the co-operative housing model, Mia Mia members are empowered to make decisions about the management and maintenance of their homes. As the umbrella organisation for housing co-ops, Co-operation Housing provides support where needed.
Mia Mia membership will work towards strengthening and growing the housing co-operative sector in WA.
